Orca Slicer for Sovol printers

Orca Slicer supports Sovol’s budget-friendly printers, from the open-source SV06 to the Voron-based SV08. These machines span both Marlin and Klipper firmware, so the setup depends on which one you have. This page covers the models, that split, and the basics.

Supported models

Orca has profiles for the SV06 and SV06 Plus, the SV07, and the larger SV08. The SV06 is a popular open-source, Marlin-based printer, while the SV07 runs Klipper. The SV08 is a CoreXY machine based on the Voron 2.4 design and also runs Klipper, so it behaves much like a Voron in setup.

Connecting and setup

Pick your exact Sovol model when adding the printer. A Marlin SV06 prints from an SD card or over USB, while the Klipper SV07 and SV08 connect over your local network. If your model is missing, a generic Marlin or Klipper profile matched to your firmware and bed size gets you going. Since the SV08 follows the Voron design, the same DIY-Klipper approach applies to it.

Bed and tuning

Sovol printers use a PEI-coated spring steel sheet, so set the bed type and temperature to match. Then run the flow rate and pressure advance tests for your filament, which make the biggest difference on these machines. On the faster SV08, the maximum volumetric speed test is also worth running.
