Supported models

Orca ships profiles for the Neptune 4, along with the 4 Pro, 4 Max and 4 Plus, which vary mainly in build size. The Centauri Carbon is Elegoo’s enclosed CoreXY machine, built for speed and for higher-temperature materials. Older Neptune 3 machines run Marlin firmware, while the Neptune 4 line and the Centauri run Klipper.

Connecting and firmware

Because the Neptune 4 and Centauri run Klipper, Orca connects to them over your local network rather than only by SD card. Pick your exact model when you add the printer, so the right build size and start code load. If your model is missing, a generic Klipper profile with the correct bed size gets you printing.

Bed and tuning

Elegoo printers use a PEI-coated spring steel sheet, so set the bed type and temperature to match. Since these machines are fast, the hotend’s melt rate is often the real limit, so the maximum volumetric speed test in the calibration suite is worth running.
