Orca Slicer for Anycubic printers

Orca Slicer supports Anycubic’s Kobra line, from the earlier bed-slingers to the newer CoreXY machines. Which firmware your Kobra runs decides how you set it up, so that is the main thing to check. This page covers the models, that split, and the setup basics.

Supported models

Orca has profiles for the Kobra 2 family, including the 2 Pro, 2 Max and 2 Neo, and for the newer Kobra 3 and the enclosed CoreXY Kobra S1. The older Kobra machines run Marlin-based firmware. The newer Kobra 3 and S1 run Klipper, which brings faster printing and Orca’s fuller Klipper features.

Connecting and setup

Pick your exact Kobra model when adding the printer, so the correct build size and start code load. A Marlin Kobra prints from an SD card or over USB, while a Klipper Kobra connects over your network. If your exact model is missing, a generic Marlin or Klipper profile, matched to your printer’s firmware and bed size, gets you going. The Kobra 3 also has a multi-colour system, which Orca handles as a multi-material setup.

Bed and tuning

Anycubic printers use a textured PEI spring steel sheet, so set the bed type and temperature to match. Then run the flow rate and pressure advance tests for your filament, since those two do more for quality than any preset. Back to all printers.
